Organic production in Canada is emerging as a profitable
and environmentally sustainable alternative to conventional
farming. Because the industry is still in its infancy there
is a need to provide information that can aid producers in
all aspects of production and marketing.
This website was created by researchers in the College of
Agriculture at the University of Saskatchewan for the purpose
of disseminating organic research that is relevant to the
prairie region of western Canada. The research presented on
this site focuses on both the agronomics and economics of
organic farming.
